I heard this three times in one day
Last weekend, I heard this statement three times in one day from three different 20-30 something year-olds: “I was looking for a Spiritual Mentor and you showed up!” It got me thinking about how our deep desire for spiritual development and connection to spirit and self is on the minds of many, and also what’s missing.
This is evident in the profound sense of despair that people are experiencing all over the world.
I constantly remind my clients that no matter what they come to me for, the only journey they ever need to concern themselves with is their spiritual development, because that is the path to their freedom, healing joy, and the manifestation of all things.
Later in the evening, I received a text from one of the lovely young people, a bright young man who said “ what you had to say today was almost too real. It was perfect, and I’d like to grow in it somehow with you.” My heart blossomed like a flower simply reading his request for guidance along his spiritual journey.
He recognized the missing link and decided to do something about it.
So today I ask you, where is spiritual development on your list of priorities? And by spiritual development, I don’t mean someone who prays every day, engages in ritual practices, or who even considers themselves a good person.
Spiritual development is a journey of learning how to align with your essential self and spirit so that you can access your divinity, experience all the deliciousness of life and inspire others to do the same.
What I can tell you for sure is that the path of the soul is not for the faint of heart, which is why most people will do everything under the sun to avoid it. Yet, it is the most profound gift you can give yourself, your community, your children, and the world at large.
As Mahatma Gandhi says “We but mirror the world. All the tendencies present in the outer world are to be found in the world of our body. If we could change ourselves, the tendencies in the world would also change.” My friend, this is how you’ll do it.
If this resonates, and you sense that your Spiritual connection to self and spirit could be the missing link, then it’ll be my honor to be your Spiritual Mentor and Guide.
